In the spacious hotel restaurant, you can also see the famous crystal chandelier, after which the building is named.
Culinary delights are prepared by an experienced team, which draws inspiration from the recipes of our grandmothers in Dolenjska region and takes into account modern scientific findings on a balanced diet. In addition to a variety of imaginative menus for every day and Saturday themed culinary events, they can also prepare an individual menu tailored to your specific needs and taste.
The current Hotel Kristal was added to the spa complex in 1899, when it was owned by the noble Auersperg family. It is difficult to say when the healing springs were first discovered in Toplice, but the town was certainly known for it already in the 15th century, when the thermal springs were still open to everyone. As a health resort, Dolenjske Toplice became famous in the second half of the 17th century, when the Auerspergs had the first bathing building built above a large thermal spring, Hotel Vital, which at that time was one of the finest buildings in the historic region of Dutchy of Carniola. This is when they set the direction of the long-term development of the town and municipality in the direction of spa tourism. Hotel Kristal has been part of the spa complex of Terme Dolenjske Toplice since 1973.
