Hotel Vital ***
If you want to relax in the embrace of nature with a wide range of activities and health services, we invite you to the historic Hotel Vital, which boasts a tradition of excellence since the second half of the 18th century, when Dolenjske Toplice was already one of the most elite spas in Austria-Hungarian Empire.
In addition to comfortable and pleasantly furnished rooms, there are three indoor pools with thermal water and a gym with modern fitness equipment. A medical rehabilitation center operates in the same building also. Hotel Vital is part of the spa complex of Terme Dolenjske Toplice.
Due to the proximity of the medical rehabilitation center, the hotel is particularly suitable for all those who come for the purpose of medical rehabilitation and have verious physical disabilities. In the immediate vicinity - in the Hotel Balnea**** Superior, which is also part of the complex, there is the Vitarium Spa & Beauty relaxation center, which offers a wide range of wellness services and aesthetic cosmetic procedures, as well as thermal pools and saunas (possible use for an additional fee).
When the Auerspergs, a noble family which owned several estates in the historic region of the Dutchy of Carniola, built this building between 1767 and 1776, it was certainly one of the finest resorts in the region. It is built in the Tuscan style with four floors and three indoor swimming pools and 28 guest rooms. Ivan Vajkard I. Auersperg was the first to try to elevate the then public bath in Dolenjske Toplice, following the example of some Central European spa resorts and later Henrik Jožef Janez Auersperg built the present Hotel Vital. The Auerspergs have completely renovated the spa several times, the last time in 1899, when the current Hotel Kristal was added. With the construction of the first baths building, the foundations of the long-term development of Dolenjske Toplice as a spa resort were laid. Over the course of various periods, the spa complex later changed several owners and managers, and the turning point in the post-war period was 1973, when it came under the ownership of the Krka factory from Novo Mesto.
