Fishing: Krka, Radeščica, Sušica
KRKA RIVER:
The bed of the Krka river consists of many natural rapids lined with reeds. The numerous pools and cascades are overgrown with green moss, which provide many hiding places for fish. From the dams on the Krka, on hot summer days, there are excellent fishing opportunities for bream or pike. You can make your day even more interesting by fishing with a boat, because just rowing along the green beauty is a real pleasure.
The central and lower part of the Krka river bed is rich in many cyprinid species, among which bream, chub, pike, pike and catfish predominate. When fishing for pike on the Krka, it is also possible to catch catfish, which is mainly caught with bottom fishing in summer evenings. The water temperature is relatively stable, so that the ratio for fish life is optimal at all times. Dry fly hunting is extremely successful in spring and early summer, when dayflies, mayflies, sedges and stoneflies are born. The best time for fishing is from the beginning of April to the end of June. April, around noon, when the stronger spring sun encourages spawning every day, is the perfect time to fish with a dry fly. Even in warm April evenings, the evening jump begins, the height of which is in May and early June. The jump in the warm evening lasts late into the night.
